Nammo AS - Operational Excellence Manager (Training and CI-projects)
Enable group-wide improvement through people, practical methods and everyday operations
Nammo is strengthening its efforts within operational excellence and is looking for a new Operational Excellence Manager with a focus on training, facilitation, and continuous improvement (CI) work. In this role, you will work closely with local teams across the company to support and facilitate improvement activities in practice, and to ensure that improvement methods and knowledge are shared, embedded, and developed over time.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working closely with people and building capability, by guiding teams, providing structure, and supporting continuous improvement in daily operations. You’ll be part of a small corporate team that supports operational excellence across the Nammo Group, working in close collaboration with sites and local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
You will collaborate with business units and sites in a supportive and advisory role, with a strong emphasis on developing people and capabilities, within the following areas:
Ensure knowledge Sharing: Promote the exchange of operational knowledge and best practices across business units and sites. Manage forums as central hubs for sharing insights and strategies
Ensure knowledge development: Develop guidelines and principles for OpX-related training in Nammo. Support local development and execution of training, and develop and execute selected companywide training programs
Enhance KPIs: Collaborate with business units and sites to support the development and improvement of KPIs aligned with strategic objectives and operational standards, including related organizational aspects
Assessment: Develop assessments and related competency, and audit site self-assessments to ensure compliance with operational standards and best practices
Benchmarking: Develop benchmarks by analyzing data from industry peers and internal metrics, setting standards for evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness
Define Common Processes and Best Practices: Lead the development and standardization of operational processes and best practices organization-wide. Utilize industry benchmarks, internal data, and continuous improvement efforts to create operational guidelines
Provide hands-on support for improvement initiatives at local sites
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a practical mindset and a talent for working with people. You may have a background from production, operations, technical support or similar, what matters most is that you know how to build trust, explain things clearly, and help others improve. You don’t need to be an expert or senior profile, we’re interested in someone who is structured, independent, and willing to learn. You must be comfortable using digital tools and you understand how training and improvement work best when connected to everyday operations.
We prefer that you have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or operations preferred. Extensive relevant experience may substitute for a formal degree
Experience from working in an industrial company
Experience in operational excellence, including Lean and Six Sigma, is highly valuable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; English is the working language
Management positions within areas such as production, maintenance, projects and product development
It is beneficial with experience within some of these areas:
The use of applications related to OEE, MES, IoT
The use of Microsoft applications, including PowerBI
The use of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or other analytical ways of handling big data

Working conditions
This is a full-time role with presence required at a Nammo site, preferably at Raufoss. You will be required to travel in this role.
Please note that the position requires you to be eligible for a Norwegian/NATO security clearance and provide a valid police certificate.
