Vice President Operation Improvement Large Caliber Systems (LCS)
In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of operations within the Large Caliber Systems (LCS) Business Unit. As the catalyst for operational excellence, you will lead efforts to enhance efficiency, improve performance, and implement impactful strategic initiatives. Your ability to identify improvement opportunities and inspire change will be essential in maintaining Nammo's position at the forefront of the defense industry. You will work closely with senior leadership to align operational improvements with the company's broader strategic objectives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and deliver measurable results. Through your leadership, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across our international business, ensuring streamlined processes, optimized resources, and consistently exceeded operational goals. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Large Caliber Systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive Business Unit-wide operational improvements to enhance productivity
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize processes and resource utilization
- Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to maintain competitiveness
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements
- Report progress and impact of initiatives to senior leadership
- Collaborate on high-impact projects to improve quality, productivity, and profitability
- Lead efforts to enhance product and process quality
- Utilize data-driven decision-making through KPIs and analytics
Core duties:
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and innovation
- Drive operational improvement initiatives and optimize resource allocation
- Develop and implement operational strategies with Business Unit and site leadership, aligned with Nammo's long-term goals
- Identify and prioritize high-impact projects that deliver measurable improvements in quality, productivity, and profitability
- Promote continuous improvement across teams and mentor employees
- Build internal expertise through training on Lean principles and methodologies

Ideal candidate profile:
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, continuous improvement, and process optimization in manufacturing, technology, industrial operations, defense industry, or supply chain/logistics
- Multi-site/global operations expertise with knowledge of cultural and geographical team dynamics
- Extensive experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Experience managing large budgets and analyzing P&L statements
- Ability to balance cost efficiency with quality and customer service
- Expertise in change management and driving innovation
- Familiarity with TQM, OEE measurement, TPM, ERP systems, and advanced operational technologies
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably with a master's degree
The postion is based in Raufoss, or in other Nammo sites in Sweden with expected precence to be at least 3 times a week on site, as well as visiting other production sites internationally.
Please note that this position requires obtaining security clearance from national security authorities at NATO level and providing a valid police certificate.
