Head of Sales Scandinavia
Do you want to play a key role in strengthening VAK Group’s Nordic position? We are seeking a Head of Sales Scandinavia to drive commercial growth in Sweden and Norway.
VAK Group is a family-owned Nordic manufacturer of heavy transport vehicles and equipment, with its main production facility in Vahto, Finland. The group operates service workshops across Finland and Sweden, along with partner workshops in Norway. Its product range includes a wide range of different trailers and truck superstructures designed for demanding transport applications. VAK Group employs around 550 people and reported a turnover of approximately €101 million in 2024. The group also includes VAK Sverige AB and VAK Norge AS, supporting sales and service across the Nordic region.
As Head of Sales Scandinavia, you will take on a combined strategic and hands-on role with full responsibility for driving sales performance, new business development, and long-term growth across Sweden and Norway. You will play a key role in VAK Group’s commercial expansion in the region and be part of the leadership team within the Group Sales organisation. You will lead the Scandinavian sales organisation and ensure that VAK strengthens its market position in both countries. The role also includes active participation in shaping and improving VAK’s sales processes and commercial function.
You will join a collaborative and forward-looking environment where initiative, structure and strong execution are essential. Working closely with customers and partners, you will operate hands-on in the market while guiding and developing the sales team. The role also carries responsibility for communication flows within the Scandinavian operations, in cooperation with the service organisation and as part of VAK Group’s broader communication network.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead and develop the Scandinavian sales organisation, ensuring strong performance, collaboration and continuous development
- Drive new business acquisition and expand VAK’s market presence in Sweden and Norway
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, decision-makers and partners
- Support your team in understanding customer needs, shaping solutions and negotiating agreements
- Plan, monitor and follow up on sales targets, budgets and overall commercial performance
- Represent VAK at fairs, events and customer activities across Scandinavia
- Lead communication and information flows across the Scandinavian operations, in cooperation with the service organisation and VAK Group’s communication team
- Contribute to the development of VAK’s sales processes and commercial functions together with the Group Sales organisation
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we believe you are an experienced sales leader with a strong background in B2B project sales. You thrive in environments where both strategic thinking and hands-on execution are required. You have a strong commercial drive, a clear hunter mindset, and a natural ability to identify and develop new business opportunities. You build trust easily, communicate clearly, and enjoy working close to customers. At the same time, you are a natural leader who can motivate, support and challenge your team toward shared goals. You take initiative, create structure where needed, and are comfortable driving both development and results.
We believe you bring:
- Several years of experience as a Sales Manager, Head of Sales or senior commercial leader within B2B with local market experience in Sweden and Norway
- Documented results from project-driven or technical/industrial sales
- Proven experience in leading and developing sales teams
- A proactive hunter mindset with strong execution capability
- The ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships at multiple levels
- Strong commercial understanding and the ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
- Willingness to travel across Sweden and Norway as part of the role
- Industry experience from heavy transport, equipment or related sectors is an advantage but not required.
Location
The role is based in Sweden, with flexibility for the right candidate. Ideally, you are located in Mälardalen, Bergslagen, the Gothenburg region or Southern Sweden.
